Do you have any knowledge of a death caused from a ratchet sustension for a hard hat being driven into a persons skull.

I do apologize, but I am not aware of that incident occuring. How did this unfortunate incident occur?

I am looking for information to confirm that it actually did happen. Someone within our company used this information to ban ratchet type hard hat suspensions.
Do you have any recommendations for how to pack a hard hat in a duffle without crushing the suspension (the part that hangs down anyway)? I considered a small box, but I am limited on room and weight.

The only suggestion that I have for you is to remove the suspension or place it in an additional carrying device. I do hope this works for you.

It seems that certain hard hats sit higher on the head, is there a reason why? Also, is there a manufacturer that makes one that has height adjustment or fits lower on the head?
